Sold Out: How Radio Maisha’s Choma na Ngoma Concert went down

By TON Admin.

Kenya’s number one Radio station Radio Maisha organised arguably the biggest event this year at KICC grounds yesterday night.

The event dubbed ‘Choma na Ngoma’ was powered by Radio Maisha in conjunction with Chris Kirwa’s CateChris Ltd, Homeboyz Entertainment among other corporate sponsors.

The event which insiders claim had more than 10 million Kenya shillings splashed on it lived to its billing as thousands of Nairobians turned up for the only event that ushered the long Madaraka Weekend.

The organisers carefully selected the date after earlier plans of having the event slated on April 28th flopped after it was made clear that Kofi Olomide, who was supposed to be the headline act for the debut show, was declared persona non grata in Kenya.

Coincidentally, that was the same day Rick Ross was holding it down in the NRG Concert and Eric Omondi was doing his show at Kasarani Stadium. This would not have been a good day for the event. Come May 31st 2018, nearly all fun loving Nairobians, even those who don’t listen to Radio converged at KICC for a fun filled experience.
