Gideon Moi is one interesting man. The man of few words has been on the receiving end in the recent past over claims that he refused to allow Deputy President William Ruto see retired president Moi at his Kabarak Home.
The aging former president had recently been flown out of the country for a knee operation in Israel. What surprised many was that though former Prime Minister Raila Odinga visited the ailing retired president, William Ruto found it hard to see him, setting the debate featuring Rift Valley MPs who claimed that for so long, they had tried to access mzee but all in vain.
Led by Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen, the rift legislators claim that Gideon Moi has been blocking leaders from visiting the old man.
They claim that he fears that leaders are seeking blessings from him, and that he only allows friendly people like Uhuru Kenyatta to see the old man, and Raila Odinga after the handshake.
