Migori Senator, a former KBC Radio and Radio Ramogi veteran presenter Ben Oluoch Okello is dead.

B.O.O as he is popularly known succumbed to throat cancer at MP Shah yesterday night. He had previously sought for treatment in India before a tumor was discovered again.

This is what Raila Odinga had to say about his untimely demise.

Before he joined politics in 2017, he was the breakfast presenter at Ramogi FM, a station owned by Royal Media Services that broacasts in Dholuo.

This is what Baba said.

“Ben was a strong man who battled cancer with bravery. He remained cool despite the throat cancer pain,” Mr Odinga told Ramogi FM, the station at which Mr Okello once worked after leaving Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

“He was focused and one who loved his community with a firm belief in the welfare of electorate. ODM has lost a key member who had yet to exploit his potential.”

The late senator’s brother said that B.O.O had been in India for 2 months, was treated and discharged but a tumor was discovered later. He was treated again and discharged to recuperate at MP Shah Hospital, Nairobi.

Many Kenyans have poured their condolences all over, with Kenyans on Twitter using the hashtag

Surely Migori County has lost a promising politician.
